Cambridge Junction - callout for producers and artists for Spaces of Joy

Cambridge Junction is delighted to be one of the partners supporting Spaces of Joy, a nationwide 12-week pilot programme for producers of contemporary performance, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, resources and networks for working with and feeling closer to the practice of Learning Disabled and Neurodivergent (LD/ND) artists.

Spaces of Joy is designed and led by Daisy Hale, supported by partner organisations Unity Liverpool, Fuel, Cambridge Junction, Camden Peoples’ Theatre, London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT), Artsadmin, and funded by Arts Council England.

There are 10 places available for independent freelance producers who will be selected from an open call. (Another two organisation producers will also participate – 12 producers in total.) Producers are welcome from across the UK, including those who are local to the partner organisations.

Applications are welcomed from those who have a broad range of lived intersectional experiences from those of the Global Majority, Disabled, Deaf and/or Neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ and Working Class backgrounds.

The criteria for producers applying is that they already have a producing practice in performance – this is a broad term but is used to establish that this programme is not learning ‘how’ to produce, but rather to add to their already existing practice.

For more information including how to apply as an artist or producer, please see  SPACES OF JOY | The Hale (the-hale.com)
