Cambridge law firm Stone King is holding a virtual information day to help organisations make sure they are ready for Brexit.

The event, which takes place on 10 December, will see lawyers hosting six free workshops with participants able to have their questions answered.

  • The International & Cross-border Team will explain the effect of Brexit on European succession, for more details please click here
  • The Information Law Team will look at data protection during Brexit, for more information please click here
  • There will also be a session from the Immigration Team with a Q&A on strategic planning and the UK's New Immigration System, details can be found here
  • Intellectual Property will also be covered and will look at the effect of Brexit on Intellectual Property rights, for more information please click here
  • Commercial contracts under Brexit will also be examined, more information can be found here.

Stone King, which has an office at Hills Road, has also devised a series of free Brexit self-audit tools which sees a short series of questions answered online. The results are instantly generated, and indicate what action needs to be taken ahead of Brexit on 31 December 2020.

Julie Moktadir, a partner in Stone King’s immigration team (pictured) said the tool was already proving useful to the business sector.

“It helps employers understand what they should be considering pre-Brexit.

“Many organisations need reminding that the UK’s departure from the EU is a matter of weeks away.

“The tools and the day of online workshops aims to give an insight into the key issues and guide senior leaders to the main strategic considerations.”

The immigration team has also produced similar Brexit self-audit tools for charities, schools and religious orders.
