Care Network Cambridgeshire seeks new trustees

Care Network Cambridgeshire, which supports local people in times of sickness and vulnerability, is looking for committed individuals to join its Board of Trustees.

Care Network Cambridgeshire writes:

Our mission is ‘helping people to stay healthy, independent and in touch with their local community’. For 32 years we have been supporting and empowering the people of Cambridgeshire in times of sickness and vulnerability, building connections within local communities.

If you would like to use your skills and experience at Board level to help us help local people, we would very much like to hear from you.

Trustees

We are looking for committed individuals to expand our range of Trustee skills with an eye to succession planning. We require dynamic and motivated people who are sympathetic to the aims and objectives of Care Network Cambridgeshire to fulfil these voluntary duties.

We are looking for Trustees to contribute actively to the Board by working with our CEO to give strategic direction; set overall policy; define goals; evaluate performance; ensuring the  charity’s effective and efficient administration and financial stability.

We want to have a wide range of people on the Board, representative of the diversity within Cambridgeshire. There is no need to have trustee experience to apply. An interest in supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing, maintaining independence at home or reaching out to those who can ‘slip through the net’ such as the chronically lonely and isolated is necessary.

Expectation of Trustees

  • Attend bi-monthly Board meetings, currently Friday mornings, 9-11am
  • Get involved in support work including fixed term projects
  • Contribute advice and support on an ad hoc basis
  • Attend events, e.g., annual volunteer celebration event
