The Institute of Directors East of England is inviting nominations for its annual Director of the Year Awards.
Celebrate the very best of the East of England's Business Leaders
The Awards are open to all Directors (or equivalent level position), both IoD members and non-members, from within the private, public and voluntary sectors, across the whole of the East of England (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Hertfordshire). Entries and nominations must be made online at http://www.iodawards.com/east by 29 March 2018.
The prestigious IoD East of England awards celebrate the very best of the regions' business leaders, placing emphasis on individual excellence and achievement. They are a public recognition of the key role that directors play, not only in the UK's economy but also in job preservation and creation.
The award ceremony, a celebratory lunch, will be held on Friday 15 June 2018 at the historic Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket. This area is chosen as it is the most central place for entrants and judges to reach from each of the five East of England branches.
Jacyn Heavens, Founder and CEO of Epos Now, winner of the East of England Director of the Year Award 2017, said "The IOD is a prestigious organisation and to be bestowed the title of Director of the Year has been really valuable for a B2B business such as mine."
Winners of each of the East of England Awards are automatically entered into the national finals, providing additional exposure and profile on a national stage as the ‘best of the best' in British business.
Stephen Martin, IoD Director General comments "Our awards seek to shine a light on directors who have enhanced and driven their businesses forward. The contenders come from different organisations but all share similarities in leadership, expertise and personal dedication.
"During this critical period of political change, we will need to see ingenuity and tenacity displayed by professional leaders. The vibrancy and diversity of the businesses here gives me cause to be hopeful of the strength of British industries. Over the coming years the IoD will continue to provide the necessary support and guidance to members, while seeking to put the business perspective to government as Brexit negotiations take place."
