People's bank, Coutts, has won a top award at its Cambridge branch.
City branch recognised
William Quantrill, senior private banker at the branch, was named best performing private banker in Coutts nationwide.
He beat off 200 other contenders from the bank's 23 offices around the UK, even though the Cambridge office has been open less than a year.
He won for the strongest performance in terms of new business and client service.
Robert Taylor, who heads Coutts' specialist entrepreneur client group, said: 'William has specialised in providing wealth management services for entrepreneurs who are managing or have sold their businesses and his success proves that business is booming among entrepreneurs in the East Anglia region.'
Mr Quantrill said: 'This award shows Cambridge and East Anglia have a high proportion of high net-worth residents, particularly entrepreneurs, who benefit from our services.'
To bank with Coutts you need a minimum of 500,000 to open an account.
