Only 15 miles from Cambridge, the pretty riverside market town of St Ives is the perfect place for VK Gallery – a bright and light gallery selling fine art and contemporary crafts.

Opened by owner Victoria Mudge in 2014, the gallery is a showcase for some of the best artists working in the UK today and Victoria’s background in the local art scene means she’s well-placed to curate the gallery’s collection of works.

After studying Art History and Arts Management, she volunteered at Kettle’s Yard before moving on to manage Cambridge Contemporary Art. She also knows that buying art is a considered decision, so is more than happy to offer advice and flexibility too by giving customers the option to reserve a piece of work without obligation for up to one week and of buying art in instalments over six months at no extra charge.

A regular calendar of exhibitions means there’s always something new to view – in the form of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, glass, textiles or jewellery from carefully-selected artists, both new and established.

Visiting the gallery is easy and quick via the guided bus or by car with parking starting at just £1. Victoria has also made it possible to buy online and her website has a great virtual tour of her beautiful gallery space – well worth a look.
