Hewlett Packard has provided funding to the Judge Institute for industrially sponsored research into E-Learning.

The purpose of the E-learning project is to understand emerging economic business models for e-learning and how these might be transferred from a research to a commercial environment for customer benefit while optimising cycle time and the value chain.
The University of Cambridge is acknowledged as one of the world's leading higher education and research institutions. The University was instrumental in the formation of the Cambridge Network and its Vice- Chancellor, Professor Stephen Toope, is also the President of the Cambridge Network.
