Inder and Nick Bull moved from London to Cambridge in 2010 with the dream of building an Indian catering business which would truly be able to show the diverse range of dishes and flavours that Indian cuisine really has to offer.
Using local suppliers wherever possible and taking daily delivery of responsibly-farmed meat (such as free-range chicken and lamb from Suffolk), fish and vegetables – Inder combines the freshest seasonal produce with her true passion for home cooked Indian food, to produce a healthier and tastier alternative to traditional takeaways and tandoori restaurants.
Inder’s seasonal menus are created to introduce customers to very traditional dishes from the Indian subcontinent, throughout the year. Starters are typical street foods and snacks, and main courses and sides bring together a wide variety of curries, dishes and pickles that are cooked in homes across India. The number of dishes on each menu is carefully controlled to allow Inder and her team to prepare them from scratch, as opposed to the one-sauce-fits all approach so often used. Indeed, the food created in Inder’s Kitchen led to the business being selected as one of just three finalists in the 2012 BBC Food and Farming Awards in the category of best takeaway/street food.
In addition to the seasonal menu, Inder also cooks bi-weekly specials and mild children’s meals for younger diners. The latest menu, specials and kids options are always available on Inder’s website where you can also place orders and book preferred delivery times in advance.
Delivery is free of charge to all areas of Cambridge, Trumpington, Granchester, Girton, Teversham, Fen Ditton, the Shelfords and Stapleford.
