Information Transfer and Priory Group have been shortlisted for the E-learning industry award for outstanding achievement. The joint entry tells the story of Foundations for Growth (FFG), a blended corporate learning programme with e-learning at its heart.
Information Transfer and Priory Group shortlisted in the E-learning Awards 2009
For the past four years, FFG has enabled specialist care provider Priory to deliver comprehensive and effective training and to achieve outstanding business benefits. And beyond Priory, Foundations for Growth has had a major impact on establishing best practice within the e-learning industry, as well as promoting the use of e-learning in the care sector.
Owen Rose, Managing Partner at Information Transfer, is delighted: “We are very proud to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. We have established a great working relationship with Priory Group over the last four years and have witnessed the dramatic impact that FFG has had on staff and on the business as a whole.”
FFG delivers 39 bespoke e-learning modules covering a wide range of mandatory and specialist training to Priory’s 5000 staff at over 60 hospitals, schools and care homes. The modules are delivered via a bespoke Learning Management System, which also gives learners access to hundreds of additional blended learning opportunities, as well as other communication and training resources.
“Priory aims to deliver consistent services of the highest quality, and FFG is vital to this. It is wonderful to go to a Priory site and see staff of all grades using FFG as part of their work. The result is better trained staff, improved service delivery and higher patient satisfaction,” said Matthew Franzidis, Chief Operating Officer at Priory Group.
Despite the challenges of the care sector working environment, Foundations for Growth has demonstrated how e-learning can achieve enthusiastic and widespread adoption, deliver enormous business impact and provide a sustained platform for corporate advantage. Tove Luther, Senior Consultant at Information Transfer, adds: “Foundations for Growth represents an outstanding achievement in e-learning, driven by the joint passion, commitment and skill of Priory and Information Transfer.”
The success of this programme, and its impact on staff performance, have already been recognised through three previous awards: a National Training Award for the South East Region, an IT Training Award and an E-learning Award.
Information Transfer has also been shortlisted for an E-learning Award 2009 for their work with Care Management Group, in the category Best e-learning project securing widespread adoption.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner held at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel on 12th November 2009.
