Johnson Matthey and Cranfield University are developing next generation modified atmosphere packaging to deliver ideal gaseous conditions at the optimum time to prolong the life of fresh produce
Johnson Matthey has teamed up with Cranfield University in a new project to develop innovative and cost effective next generation modified atmosphere packaging for prolonged storage and improved management of fresh produce through the supply chain.
The work will focus on delivering ideal gaseous conditions at the optimum time in the packaging, allowing for the prolonged storage and improved management of fresh produce. The collaboration is part of a three year project that has received a grant of £275,733 from the UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and Innovate UK.
