Pain in the Machine is a short documentary film that started with a deceptively simple question: could, and should, robots feel pain? Could experiencing sensation prevent machines from damaging themselves and others? Combining popular culture with academic expertise, the film takes a lucid look at robots, artificial intelligence and the impact this has on human identity.
Pain in the Machine is part of four part series exploring topical issues in the field of AI and Robotics.
