Are you considering supporting a charity or looking to renew your Charity of the Year? If so, why not come along to our Open Day at Milton Children's Hospice on Tuesday 9 November 2004 between 10.
Milton Children's Hospice Open Day
00 am and 5.00 pm.
Milton children's hospice is part of East Anglia's Children's Hospices which exists to maximise the quality of life for terminally ill children and their families.
Respite care at our hospices offers breathing space and some relief to families, varying in length from a day to a couple of weeks at a time. The family can stay too, giving them the chance to be alongside their children without the responsibility of 24-hour care. We also offer bereavement care, both before and after a child dies, for as long as the family needs it.
This high standard of care requires funding and since we only receive 10% of our annual income from the government, we absolutely rely on voluntary donations in order to help local children and their families make the most of their 'precious time' together.
Many people worry that they would find visiting the hospice too depressing or upsetting, but I'd like to reassure you that our hospices are very much 'Places for Living' and that since no children will be in residence between these times, it is an ideal opportunity to see just what cheerful, fun, vibrant places our hospices are, without disturbing any of the children or families.
If you would like to attend with a view to supporting your local children's hospices, please call (01480) 466650 for further details.
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) aims to maximise the quality of life for children and young people with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, and to support their families.
