New opportunity for businesses creating social change!
A new programme helping businesses that create social change is starting up in Cambridge. Social Incubator East (an initiative of Allia) will provide business support, loans and workspace to ambitious entrepreneurs to fulfil their potential, grow their businesses and make the world a better place.
Programme Director Belinda Bell explains, ‘This is a great opportunity for people who have an idea or are already running a business that has social impact to receive intensive support. Ventures in the incubator will vary: they could be tech businesses, a community café, an education venture or a university or public sector spinout.’
Recruitment is now open for the first Social Venture Weekend which will be on 20-22 June. It will be held at Cambridge Judge Business School and offer world class training for people with an ambition to set up or grow an existing business dedicated to making a positive social impact. The ideas that show the most potential will then be invited to join the Social Incubator East programme offering 12 months of further training, business support, loan finance and free workspace.
The programme is a partnership between Allia, Cambridge Judge Business School, Foundation East and Keystone Development Trust and is funded by the Cabinet Office and Delivered by Big Lottery Fund.
Social Incubator East is open to candidates who are based in and operate mostly in the England.
