New regional international manager appointed at RBS


The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has announced the appointment of Barry Burroughs to the position of Regional International Manager at its Commercial Banking Office in Cambridge.

Barry has over 22 years experience in business finance, including senior positions working for the bank in and around the Cambridge area. Barry's long and distinguished career includes over 15 years experience working in corporate and commercial banking, managing the funding requirements of a range of businesses from SME's to PLCs. He has held the position of Relationship Manager for the last eight years.

Well known to many businesses and professionals in the East of England, Barry's appointment will see him continue with this Relationship Management role but focussed solely for businesses that trade internationally.

Welcoming Barry's appointment David Watson, Senior Director Commercial banking said: 'Barry's appointment is an endorsement of the increased business in international trade being seen by the bank in the East of England as well as Nationally. It builds on our ability to deliver a high quality offering in this area and provides a dedicated Relationship Manager and Relationship Team of four support staff who will work with customers on a day to day basis.'

Barry Burroughs added: 'The role of Regional International Manager is an exciting and challenging opportunity and one which is a natural progression of my role in the last 8 years. My focus will be to work with customers to assist them in achieving their aspirations as well as winning new trade finance related business and increase our market share from this important area.'
