Bringing together managers who are new to the role of managing people, the CPD-accredited programme (21 CPD points) comprises five sessions over the course of five months and is a natural progression for those who have completed Cambridge Network's Learning Collaboration Transition to Management course.

Topics are chosen by the group but in the past have included site visits and tours of member companies as well as covering issues such as:
- How to manage (or be managed by) people remotely or across borders
- How to manage high/low performers
- Basic employment law, including how and when to take disciplinary action
- How to conduct interviews for effective recruitment
- Mentoring
- How to provide effective feedback to senior managers
- Techniques for influencing and persuasion.
The group is expertly facilitated by Development Group International, who have run management courses throughout Cambridge and for Cambridge Network for many years. Joining will enable you to network face to face with your peers across different industries and business sectors as well as to benefit from blended learning resources (including books, videos and online learning).
