Peter Hiscocks to share Investment War Stories

Peter Hiscocks, Fellow in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at Cambridge Judge Business School, will join the panel at the upcoming “Investment War Stories for Angels and Entrepreneurs” event on 19th September 2019 at St John’s Innovation Centre.

St John’s Innovation Centre is delighted to announce that Peter Hiscocks, Fellow in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at Cambridge Judge Business School, will join the panel at the upcoming “Investment War Stories for Angels and Entrepreneurs” event on 19th September 2019 at St John’s Innovation Centre.

Chaired by Alan Cowley, Co-Founder of The Invested Investor, this interactive afternoon session will provide insights to the current equity and early stage investment landscape touching on new rules for start-ups, scale-ups and angel investing.

Peter will join Alan Cowley and Gonçalo de Vasconcelos, Co-Founder and Non-Exec Director of SyndicateRoom, on the panel to share his knowledge on both investing as well as raising money.

The discussion will include the dos and don’ts of investing in early stage companies and views on industry trends. The panel will also share their top-tips and favourite war stories.

About Peter Hiscocks
Peter Hiscocks spent a number of years in the private sector working in product development in large companies before starting his own businesses. Peter has founded 12 new ventures to date, of which seven have been sold, two have closed and he is Chairman or Director of three others. One of these businesses was a £30 million seed fund for early business ventures. Peter has been working in the entrepreneurial community of Cambridge for over 40 years and set up the first Department of Entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge in 2000. Peter is also an active Business Angel.

“I have had the good fortune to work with and learn from some of the most successful entrepreneurs in Europe,” said Peter Hiscocks. “And to recycle some of this knowledge to my students over the past 20 years.”
