Rents for industrial property beat 8

23-03-2001

Industrial rents in Cambridge have reached 8.

30 per sq ft.

It is on the Clifton Road industrial estate that rents have now broken through the 8 barrier, according to property consultants, Bidwells.

Last month a 2,470 sq ft unit was let to Anthony Rumsey International, a pharma export company, for 10 years at 20,500 per annum.

Nicola Smyth of Bidwells, who acted for estate owners, Stockbourne Management, said the price achieved was not least due to the severe shortage of modern industrial units of this size in the city.
