Cambridge design communication agency Sable&Hawkes has been appointed to design the corporate identity for the Midlands Metro Alliance (MMA) – a new partnership to revolutionise the £1.2 billion construction of future tram routes across the West Midlands.
Sable&Hawkes appointed for new corporate identity project
The Midland Metro is a light-rail/tram line operating between Birmingham and Wolverhampton and the MMA has been set up to implement a 10 year, £1.2 billion schemes of works to enhance the tram system, including its integration into the prospective HS2 project.
The appointment is the most recent example of Sable's long history of working with the rail and transport sector, having previously worked successfully with London Transport and Underground, Network Rail.
Sable’s work on safety communications with infrastructure specialists Colas Rail has recently been rewarded with a shortlisting at the National Rail Industry design awards.
The project will involve setting up and managing all aspects of the visual and editorial representation of the alliance, through all its corporate, recruitment and internal communications.
