Perse School celebrates record GCSE results
Perse students and staff at are celebrating their highest ever A* rate at I/GCSE. More than three quarters of entries in 2016 (77%) were awarded the highest grade.
Almost half of Perse School A level results are A*
Nearly one in two (45.5%) Perse A level and Pre-U entries in 2016 was awarded an A* or Pre-U equivalent, the highest percentage ever recorded at the School. For the seventh year in succession, more than three quarters of entries were graded at either A* or A.

Perse sixth formers received an insight into chromatography this week with a visit to Anatune. The Girton-based company gave the lower sixth chemists an overview of the technique, which separates compounds to analyse the composition of a substance, and then demonstrated it in the in-house laboratory.

Sixth form students of maths and physics were invited to consider ‘where they are and where they are going’ during the University of Cambridge Science Festival in a free workshop designed to encourage and equip them to study physics, engineering and maths at university.
