Visa application appointments increase

Julie Moktadir, Partner in the Immigration Team at Stone King

Following considerable disruption during the pandemic, UK Visas and Citizenship Application Services (UKVCAS) is, from 1 November, offering free and chargeable appointments at all of its Service Points, excluding Premium Lounges.

Stone King Partner Julie Moktadir, an Immigration expert, says: “Like many services, visa application appointments at UKVCAS have been limited throughout the pandemic. Visa applications are always time sensitive and sometimes extremely urgent and we have experienced the effects of these limited services first-hand, through the significantly lower than usual number of free appointments available for our clients, and certain centres offering reduced services.”

She adds: “We hope that resuming these services to previous levels will make booking an appointment at one of the centres much easier for anyone applying for a visa, a process which can be stressful in itself.”

The UKVCAS booking calendar shows four weeks of appointments, with a new date and appointments added each day. New free appointments are released onto the booking system at 9am.
