APRIL 2000 - Marcoms agency Warman & Bannister has been named as The Top Performing Agency in a new industry survey published this week (week commencing 24 April).
WARMAN & BANNISTER IN PR POLE POSITION
The Top 150 Survey is an annual survey conducted by the leading trade journal, PR Week. This year, PR Week's survey positions Warman and Bannister as The UK's Top Performing Agency over the past 5 years.
With offices in Cambridge, London and Eindhoven (Netherlands), Warman & Bannister services international clients with global PR programmes in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific, as well as UK-focused campaigns and clients. Clients include global brands such as Philips and Shell Chemicals plus telecoms and new media clients like Netcall Telecom and Finelot.com.
W&B chief executive Terry Bannister attributes the success to quality, 'Modern technology and communication methods mean we have instant access to worldwide communications with and on behalf of our clients. However, this is nothing without the quality of the account team members who have sound skills and an understanding of our clients' businesses and communications needs.'
Although welcoming the success, Terry Bannister points out that the growth of the business is not at the expense of service to clients. 'Our healthy growth from a small agency is simply an indication of our success in retaining existing clients, as well as attracting new ones. Obviously, I am delighted that we are growing so quickly, but it is quality of service that is our real priority. It's this focus that underpins our growth to date and we don't intend to change this emphasis, even though we are one of the big PR players now,'.
