Flood warnings have been issued today (Tuesday) for parts of Cambridgeshire as heavy rain continues to sweep across the region.
Warnings of floods in Cambs
Red warnings are in place at Alconbury and the upper reaches of the river Kym around the village of Hail Weston.
It means the Environment Agency believes there is a possibility of homes being affected by rising waters.
Amber warning are also in place at the Alconbury Brook and on the river Kim between Kimbolton and Stonely.
Meanwhile minor roads in the county have standing water and police are warning drivers to take extra care.
A spokeswoman for the Environment Agency said experts believe water levels will peak this morning before beginning to recede.
However more rain is expected as a weather front moves in from the north.
Huntingdonshire District Council have been offering sandbags to homeowners in low lying areas.
