Winners of PA sponsored CUE business competion
PA Consulting Group – the leading international management, systems and technology consultancy, has sponsored two CUE business creation competitions - CUEBiC and 3P, the winners of which were announced at CUE’s 'Where Angels Dare' evening held in the Cambridge Guildhall on Monday, 18 June 2007.
Having secured a share of £20,000 prize money for their business ideas, the winners had an opportunity to pitch their idea on stage that evening - ‘Dragon’s Den’ style - to a panel of CUE Business Angels (personal investors) and early stage investors (venture capitalists) to compete for an additional £10,000 cash prize and further investment funds.
The CUE Business Creation Competitions are open to Cambridge University staff and students who are serious about starting their own business:
- 3P is for profit or non-profit business ideas, which focus on creating social or environmental benefits
- CUEBiC is for high growth, high-tech business ideas which tend to attract business angel and venture capital investment.
