Working with conflict in teams - participants sought for research

Level Seven is looking for teams who would be willing to participate in its research into 'Working with Conflict in Teams'.

Calling all teams: would your team be willing to participate in research on ‘Working with Conflict in Teams’?

Level Seven writes:

Level Seven has always been interested in helping organisations and individuals to be the best that they can be, especially within a context of improving innovation or personal performance.   As experts in leadership development we use coaching and conflict resolution skills on a regular basis.  As a result, we have become increasingly fascinated by the systems within which people operate, in particular the impact of individuals on teams, and of teams on innovation performance. A key focus is how conflict can be moderated positively in the context of innovation performance and team coaching.

So, we are embarking on an exciting, and we believe, innovative research project that will seek to find out what happens in teams to aid and block innovation. Through the project, we will help teams to explore how they work together and the potential barriers that impede innovation performance and success.  As participants your team members will benefit from being involved in the project by gaining insights into individual behaviours and team collaboration.  We will agree a mutually appropriate, developmental feedback process.

We are now looking for teams who would be interested in participating in our research.

We'd love to involve a wide range of teams in different industries who meet the following criteria:

  • Your business is located within Cambridgeshire / East Midlands area.
  • Your team is a working team (size = between 4 to 10 members approx.)
  • You acknowledge that conflict does occur at times within the team and can interfere with productivity or performance.
  • Team members would be available to meet with us once either individually or in small groups for up to 45 minutes.
  • The whole team would be willing to meet as a whole for half a day and participate in a group facilitation process.

All that we ask in return is that the data we collect can be used confidentially and anonymously as part of our research write-up.

As this research is self-funded, if your team is located within the Cambridgeshire / East Midlands area, we would be happy to travel to you, free of charge, if your team is located farther afield, we would ask for a small contribution towards our travel costs.
