Young professionals choose local speakers for their business day

24-03-2011

JCI Cambridge, a young professionals group, has chosen four local speakers to run workshops at their inaugural business day on 9th April.

The business skills day will provide a great opportunity to learn new skills, brush up on some old ones and network with young professionals from Cambridge and further afield. During this interactive and informative day delegates will have the opportunity to attend two full two and a half hour workshops on a variety of topics, all delivered by local speakers.

Cambridge businesswoman, and renowned speaker, Kate Atkin will be running a workshop on "Present Yourself with Confidence" to provide tips, tools and techniques to present yourself, and your message, with confidence. Garin Rouch and Mark Fearnley will be introducing the Psychometric Tool: DiSC® while in the afternoon Aaron Garner will look at the art of subtle communication and Ann Hawkins will encourage delegates to discover their own acre of diamonds.

The day is part of a national weekend for JCI UK; a global network for young people in their 20s and 30s.  But you don't have to be in that age bracket, or indeed a member to attend the business skills day.  It is open to anyone who wishes to learn a little more about themselves and others.
