Enterprising Women mobilise mentors

19-05-2008

Enterprising Women are inviting potential and practising mentors to an event on 4th June at Homerton College Cambridge to learn more about mentoring from two highly experienced mentors.

Most business owners have faced the challenges of starting and running a business, wrestled with the same problems, and even sometimes felt like giving up.  At those times, having an independent person to talk to and share those issues with can make a huge difference – to motivation, to understanding, and to overcoming business or personal challenges.

This event is not just for those who have been a mentor. Guest speaker Christine Jones is an experienced lecturer, counsellor, mentor and coach.  She will show how most people can be a mentor, and talk about the essential elements for good, ethical mentoring, with pragmatic tips and guidance.

The event will also hear from Janice Cook, talking about her experiences and the benefits for her and the mentee. Janice has worked as an HR professional for 20 years across all sectors, to director level and is an expert in organisational development and design.

The event is free to all potential mentors, and includes lunch, as a thank you on behalf of the Enterprising Women community.  Attendees will be able to sign up to the Enterprising Women’s mentors register on the day and start unlocking their potential to help others realise theirs!
