Centre for Science and Policy celebrates growth

Yesterday saw Cambridge’s Centre for Science and Policy (CSaP) celebrating powerful growth at its second annual event, with many members of Cambridge Network invited to meet with policy makers and influencers, including Lord Broers, former chairman of the Cambridge Network and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge from 1996 until 2003.

Dr David Cleevely, CSaP's founding director - who is also a former Cambridge Network chairman - led the discussion, with speeches by Chris Floyd of Rolls-Royce; Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz, Cambridge University’s Vice-Chancellor; and Ian Watmore, former permanent secretary at the Cabinet Office and one of the main drivers of the government's IT strategy.

Following the visit by Francis Maude a week ago it is evident that Cambridge is being recognised for the quality of input on both academic and business routes to growth and prosperity for the UK.
