Cambridge, UK based Audio Analytic has been unveiled as an Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Innovation Awards 2014 Finalist. The IET awards are a worldwide competition to recognise the best innovations in engineering, science and technology. Finalist Audio Analytic is now set to join other businesses in their field at a prestigious London award ceremony hosted by technology writer and TV presenter Kate Russell.

Audio Analytic was selected as a finalist in the Consumer Electronics Technology in recognition of its Sound Recognition technology for OEMs (Smoke Alarm, Glass Break, Baby Cry, Aggression Detection) -http://conferences.theiet.org/innovation/shortlist/index.cfm

The Institution of Engineering and Technology’s (IET) Innovation Awards recognise excellence across 16 categories from sustainability and transport to communications and healthcare technologies. The free-to-enter, international, annual awards scheme provides a unique opportunity for engineering inventors to showcase their brightest ideas.

The awards, now in their 10th year, are renowned for raising the profile of winners and bringing them to a wider audience. Many former Innovation Award winners report increased interest in their products as a result of winning the accolade, such as Actual Experience plc, which won the Information Technology Innovation Award in 2012; and have grown to the point where they could float the company on the stock market earlier this year.

Audio Analytic will now join the rest of the short-listed applicants at the IET Innovation Awards Ceremony, a ceremony which will take place in London on 19 November 2014, and where the winner in each category will be announced.
