Qi3 Accelerator gets double recognition in Business Angel awards

Qi3 Accelerator was named ‘Early Stage Team of the Year’ by the British Business Angels’ Association (BBAA) at their National Awards Dinner this week.

LumeJet, Qi3 Accelerator’s latest investment, has also won the ‘Best Syndicated Deal of the Year’ award. The event was held at the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London and attended by representatives from across the angel investors’ community.

The Early Stage Team of the Year recognises Qi3 Accelerator’s novel business model and staged evaluation process. Additionally, it recognises excellence in the scale of the deals that Qi3 Accelerator has led, and its dedication to support investee companies.

“I’d like to thank all of you, as fellow investors, fund managers, generators of deal flow, partners, sponsors or supporters of the forthcoming High Value Manufacturing Bootcamp and tireless investigators of opportunities for all of your hard work and encouragement in the development of our Qi3 Accelerator model of early stage investment,” said Nathan Hill, CEO at Qi3 Accelerator. “Our way of working depends upon collaborative and open working with a group of like-minded people, and I look forward to working with all of you on the next investments.”

LumeJet, Qi3 Accelerator’s most recent investment, has won Best Syndicated Deal of the Year 2012. The award recognises the substantial support and input from Qi3 Accelerator and Wren Capital to secure a £1.88m deal for LumeJet.
