Terry Holloway, Deputy Chairman of Cambridge Airport, said: ‘It has been confusing for our many airport customers that the Airport is open until 9.00pm six days a week, but closes an hour earlier on Sundays. We have therefore decided to have a standard closing time for the Airport seven days a week.
"Notwithstanding this closing time, which is shown in various aviation documents as our published opening hours, on occasions we keep the airfield open late to facilitate the movement of aircraft in and out of Cambridge and this will particularly apply during the next month or so during the Olympic period’.
