Alongside Eddie at the unisex salon are Andy, Rosa, Jade and Ying – all experienced stylists and also long-term friends. One particular aspect Eddie was keen to bring to Bamboo was a very organic approach to the products the team uses. The Organic and Mineral Research Institute range is the chosen colouring system which uses natural ingredients as an alternative to traditional chemical-based colouring products – particularly good if you have any skin allergy problems.
Eddie has clients travelling to him from London for these very popular products. Part of this range is the Seaweed Lightener – which unlike chemical bleach, contains no ammonia and is nourishing and conditioning at the same time. Daniel Fields Watercolours are also used to provide long-lasting colour but with no peroxide or ammonia content.
As well as traditional hairdressing services, Bamboo offer special styling for weddings, balls and other special occasions, hair extensions, massage and beauty treatments, free fringe trims and a generous student discount. This generosity also extends to the local community as they regularly partake in charity events and you can always see the team enjoying themselves on the day of the Mill Road Winter Fair!
