'Library Futures' - JBS hosts 43rd European Business Schools Librarians’ Group Conference

Cambridge Judge Business School is delighted to be hosting the 43rd European Business Schools Librarians’ Group (EBSLG) conference this week (17-20 June 2013).

"The annual EBLSG conference always offers wonderful opportunities to network across European business schools, to share best practice, and seek solutions together to the challenges we all face. I am thrilled that over 40 library directors from the top schools are here with us at Cambridge Judge this week from as far afield as St Petersburg and Barcelona. In addition to a packed conference programme, delegates will also be experiencing Cambridge via a traditional pub quiz, punting, and a college dinner.”

It’s the first time the conference has been held in Cambridge and the School will be welcoming Information & Library Directors from Europe’s top business schools, including INSEAD, HEC Paris, IMD, IESE, London Business School, Saïd Business School, ESADE, and the University of St Gallen.

This year’s conference is entitled “Library Futures: New Technologies, New Spaces, New Thinking”, and will explore the incorporation of new technology and media into library services, evolving requirements for physical library spaces, and the ways in which librarians themselves are actively adapting to change and entering new market spaces in their institutions.

The 2013 EBSLG Cambridge conference is being organised by the Information & Library Services team at Cambridge Judge Business School in association with the EBSLG Anglophone Group. Andy Priestner, Information & Library Services Manager, commented:
