Marshall receives The Queen’s Award for Enterprise

Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group (Marshall ADG) was this year awarded The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of the deployable CT scanner and forensic laboratory solutions designed and manufactured by Marshall Land Systems (part of Marshall ADG). The award was presented this week by the Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Hugh Duberly Esq CBE, to Sir Michael Marshall, Chairman of the Marshall Group of Companies.

Sir Michael Marshall said: “We are extremely proud to have won this award in recognition of solutions we’ve developed to complex engineering problems.  It is a credit to our engineers and project managers, who, working closely with customers and partners, rose to the challenge of devising systems for transporting sophisticated and delicate equipment over rugged ground in order to support forces in the field, whether they are military, security or humanitarian.”

Of the 152 awards given to businesses this year, only 27 were in the Innovation category, which requires companies to demonstrate outstanding innovation and substantial improvements in performance and commercial success over the last two years.  Achievement is assessed for invention, design or production, the performance of the product submitted, marketing and distribution, and after sales support.

Ray Cutting, Managing Director of Land Systems, Marshall ADG, commented: “This award demonstrates Marshall’s unrivalled expertise in developing complex deployable solutions to problems previously thought to be too difficult.”
