Lenovo enhances the quality of its sustainability reporting with CRedit360

Technology giant Lenovo has opted for CRedit360’s award-winning sustainability software to enhance the quality and accuracy of its sustainability data and take its reporting to the next level.

The company will use the system to collect data from worldwide locations for its annual sustainability report and the CDP reporting framework. It will also make use of specific modules to track the progress of energy efficiency projects.

“The credit360 solution will provide us with an easy, straightforward way to collect and manage our data from multiple locations,” says Rob J. Taylor, Director of Environmental Affairs, Sustainability & Corporate Safety and Standards, Lenovo. “In addition to streamlining our data collection, being able to calculate carbon emissions automatically in the system will save time and increase the accuracy of our reporting. Importantly, we’ll also make progress on specific sustainability and cost-saving initiatives by measuring their impact with precision.”

Prior to selecting credit360, Lenovo had been using an internal, proprietary system to collect data, and wanted to find a new and improved way to manage its sustainability performance, particularly in terms of data aggregation and report creation. Up to 100 users will use the credit360 solution to collect site-level data on a quarterly basis, including electricity, fuels, water, refrigerants, hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Beyond its ongoing data management activities, Lenovo will use specific modules to manage energy efficiency initiatives and track their progress, with a view to making both carbon and cost savings. It will look to expand its use of the system in the future to encompass areas such as auditing.

“We’re delighted to be supporting Lenovo with its ambition to improve the quality of its sustainability data,” says Mark Shields, Managing Director, credit360. “Companies in the technology sector and beyond are increasingly using sophisticated sustainability software to increase the accuracy of their reporting, and ultimately drive action on reducing their social and environmental impacts.”
