The Ubisense Smart Factory System is already operational in six of the manufacturer's facilities worldwide, spanning Europe, North America and Asia. This expansion takes the total number of vehicles tracked to over 1.3 million per annum across all seven lines.
The system runs seamlessly with the global automotive manufacturer's Manufacturing Execution System and integrates into functions from assembly line tool tracking, assembly control, offline tracing, yard management, container management, tote-tracking and line-side supply, and is one of the most advanced suite of Ubisense Smart Factory applications in the world.
Richard Green, Ubisense Chief Executive Officer, said: "I am delighted to see our system rolled out to another production line with this customer. This deal provides further evidence of the real return on investments our systems bring. In the assembly operation alone, manufacturers can save up to one hour per station per day, which is essential in today's competitive manufacturing environment. The proven ROIs continue to be a key driver in the widespread adoption of our unique real time location intelligence platform supporting Smart Factory implementations to manufacturers around the globe."
