Travel Plan Plus gears up for electric vehicle event

Travel Plan Plus (TP+) invites employers and their staff to attend the TP+ Electric Vehicle Event hosted by Cambridge Regional College, King's Hedges Road, Cambridge, CB4 2QT next Monday (27th October) between 11-3pm.

Car dealerships will be bringing a range of the latest electric vehicles for you to view and test drive. There will be electric assisted and cargo bikes on display, along with lunchtime presentations from electric vehicle experts Evalu8. The lunchtime presentations will offer commuters information on switching to EV, the installation of charging points and advise businesses on the benefits of using electric vehicles for business travel.

The event is being organised by TP+, Travel for Cambridgeshire's sister project based on the Cambridge Science Park, promoting sustainable travel to work to its members in the TP+ network (Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge Business Park, St John's Innovation Centre, Cambridge Regional College and Taylor Vinters).

Cambridge Regional College is an ideal host for the event with a total of 12 green bays with eight EV charging posts on its King's Hedges site, and with its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint by 40%.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the event on the 27th October, 11am 3pm. Presentations will be held between 12noon and 1.30pm.

People attending the event by car should park in Car Par 3A/2 and then walk through to main reception.
