Cambridge adds flights to Chambery - new for winter 15/16

Leading tour operator Inghams adds Chambery in the French Alps to its list of departures from Cambridge International Airport.

Leading specialist and snow sport tour operator Inghams is expanding its range of direct destinations from Cambridge International Airport. New for the winter 2015/16 ski season, the operator will be offering a weekly Saturday flight to the French Alps airport of Chambery from December 2015 to April 2016.

Flights to Chambery take less than two hours from Cambridge and the convenient French alpine gateway is well located for the entire Savoie region and world renowned ski areas including the Paradiski, Espace Killy and Three Valleys.  Shorter transfer times to resorts from Chambery Airport, and short check-in and departure wait times at Cambridge, mean that East England skiers and snowboarders alike will enjoy the most convenient air travel to the French Alps as well as the widest range of French alpine resorts from the UK’s leading snow sport specialist.

Known for its excellent customer service, in-resort assistance and quality of holiday options, Inghams features an unsurpassed range of self-catering, bed & breakfast, half and full board hotel accommodation, as well as exceptional catered chalet holidays which are ideal for couples, families and groups alike.  With resorts such as La Plagne and Les Arcs, Tignes, Val d’Isere, Meribel, Courcheval and Val Thorens all available using direct flights to Chambery, passengers from Cambridge will be spoiled for choice.

“There’s just no matching Inghams Holidays for value and service”, commented David Surley, head of business & route development at Cambridge International Airport.  “We have an excellent range of summer and winter destinations with them, it’s great to see Inghams expanding their destinations from Cambridge yet again and Chambery is one of the flights we have hoped to introduce for some time, it is one of our most popular requests by customers in the region.  A great way to access the best slopes and resorts in the Alps.”

Peter Moor of Inghams Holidays is pleased to see Chambery added from Cambridge, saying “this is one of our exemplary regional departure options, offering customers excellent, friendly service at convenient local departure points. Flying from Cambridge is simply relaxing and enjoyable, and so easy to reach from all of East England with terminal-side car parking.  Plus, with shorter resort transfers at Chambery, this is the ideal arrival point for quick access to the slopes and therefore better for reaching some of the most popular ski areas.  We know this will be a popular option for Cambridge based and East Anglian travellers.”

Holidays can be booked online at www.inghams.co.uk and through all major travel agents, including Fred. Olsen Travel located in the terminal at Cambridge International Airport.  Prices start from just £443 per person for seven nights self-catering in Courcheval, £673 per person for seven nights’ bed and breakfast at a three star hotel in Courcheval, and £693 per person for seven nights’ half-board in Les Arcs, departing in January 2016.
