The first flight departed from Cambridge International Airport at 7am this morning, arriving in Gothenburg at 10am. The new 32-seater service, which will be flying daily Monday-Thursday, connects Cambridge with Scandinavia for the very first time.

Passengers flying on the first day of SUN-AIR service included a group of key stakeholders from the Cambridge and East Anglia region, who were convening with Swedish counterparts, trade and inward investment experts to discuss ties between West Sweden and the Eastern UK region.

New Swedish flights take-off from Cambridge

Cambridge International Airport today welcomed the inaugural departure of new SUN-AIR flights to Sweden’s second biggest city – Gothenburg. Anglo-Swedish company AstraZeneca has prominent facilities in both locations and has been instrumental in launching the new flights.
