EY challenges businesses in Cambridge to gear up for young people

EY, the professional services firm, is challenging local businesses in Cambridge to gear up for young people this spring with The Big EY Ride 2015

Hundreds of cyclists are expected to arrive into Cambridge from London on Tuesday 5 May 2015 as part of the firm’s first ever Big EY Ride, delivered by sporting events firm In Motion. They will be riding to raise money for the EY Foundation – a new charity founded by the firm last summer. All proceeds will go towards giving disadvantaged young people in the East of England and across the UK a great start to their working lives.

EY is urging members of the local business community to get on their bikes and join in the ride, which leaves Cambridge on Wednesday 6 May for the second leg into Birmingham. There are riding options to suit all-levels whether you’re a cycling newbie or a road geek, or someone in-between. You can cycle a single day stage; legs e.g. two days such as London to Cambridge, Cambridge to Birmingham; or a section (South, North and Scotland) or of course the whole thing – London to Inverness.

Stuart Wilkinson, Tax Partner in EY’s Cambridge office, says: “The whole office is gearing up for young people this spring and we would love it if local businesses and clients in the city got involved in the ride and joined Team EY Cambridge. We are excited to be working with the EY Foundation – our new charity founded last summer – to help young people in the UK get a great start to their working lives, improving their employment prospects: benefitting our local communities and economic growth.”
