Cambridge Filmworks animates to communicate

Cambridge Filmworks has just completed two informative new animations for the Behaviour and Health Research Unit (BHRU) at the University of Cambridge. They highlight the unit's work in developing effective ways of changing our lifestyle and behaviour in order to improve overall public health and wellbeing.

Based in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, within the School of Clinical Medicine at The University of Cambridge, Addenbrooke's, the BHRU has identified the need for change in four key sets of behaviour – smoking, excessive consumption of food and alcohol, and physical inactivity – to prevent most of the preventable non-communicable diseases including many cancers, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Filmworks' Director Richard Millen commented: "We were asked by the BHRU to produce films that would communicate information in an informative yet fun way. The animations deliver their vital message clearly whilst being incredibly engaging to watch at the same time."
