As part of the Cambridge Business Improvement District (BID) Independents’ Week project and the Business Support workstream, Cambridge BID is running a breakfast seminar on Wednesday 1st July at Trinity Hall Conference Centre from 8.30am – 10.30am. The event is FREE OF CHARGE with breakfast provided.
The event, hosted by Cambridge BID - an organisation that represents the interests of 1,100 businesses in Cambridge city centre - promises to arm retailers and consumer-facing businesses with all the tools and techniques they need to develop a profitable business. Topics covered will include:
- Defining your goal and mission
- Identifying your ideal customer
- Implementing your pricing and promotional policy
- and planning and controlling your business.
“Throughout the session, attendees will have the opportunity to work on each step in small groups, and to reflect on what more they could be doing in their business. There will be plenty of opportunities for networking as well as time during the morning to ask Clare specific questions,” says Becky Burrell, Marketing and Commercial manager at Cambridge BID.
"Over the course of the session every attendee will build up their own, unique action plan that will enable them to leverage all that they have learned and put those ideas into practice."

The aim of the initiative is to raise the profile of our wonderful ‘indies’ and encourage people to visit them during July and beyond. There will be a fabulous range of offers, competitions, prizes and unmissable events for Cambridge shoppers to enjoy throughout the week,” adds Becky.
