Washington visitor meets the Cambridge Network

In a quest to find out about the current state and strengths of the British high-tech industry, Nick Westcott, Minister-Counsellor for trade at the British Embassy in Washington, paid a fact-finding visit to Cambridge on Friday (5 May).

At a lunch hosted by the Cambridge Network - held at the premises of Network founder - he met a number of the Network's founders and directors, as well as Peter Hiscocks, director of the Cambridge Entrepreneurship Centre; Walter Herriott, director of St John's Innovation Centre, and Mr Herriott's colleague, project manager Tim Minshall.

He later travelled to Cambridge Science Park to visit high-tech ink-jet printing company and then went on to meet representatives of Cambridge Antibody Technology at Melbourn.
