Open your eyes to Windows 7

Microsoft's latest operating software, Windows 7, offers a wealth of new and improved features. Find out how to make the best use of them at a half-day course in Cambridge next month.

Created by Karen Roem of Roem Ltd – contributor of Cambridge Network's Tame your computer column – the course promises to help you become more organised and productive using Windows 7's enhanced search capabilities and new features such as Libraries and Jump Lists.

Says Karen: "Many people use Windows 7 but fail to take advantage of the functions it offers to optimise your computer's efficiency.  This course covers a range of fundamentals to help you explore and exploit the opportunities available.

"I've had course delegates who say that even though they've been using Windows for some time, they were surprised to find it was possible to learn more."

The next course takes place on March 5th at Sun House, Queen Edith's Way, Cambridge, so it is local to many businesses. Adds Karen: "This course is just half a day because I know that a great deal can be accomplished in just a few hours. After all, how many pointless meetings last this long?

"I am also aware that many people already have a good percentage of skills, so the course includes topics that have been cherry-picked to meet specific needs. People have the chance to learn exactly what they need, rather than sitting through a standard full-day course."

With a maximum class size of 4, the course costs an affordable £97 (+VAT). The price includes a handout with exercise files for you to work through and take away, as well as one month's post-course advice.
