Staff, guests and their partners of Munro Building Services were invited to Ladies Day at Newmarket Racecourse's July course on Thursday 9th July and were not only treated to a superb day of hospitality at this well respected annual event, but also the chance to support the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity new hospice appeal.
Munro who were appointed the mechanical and electrical installation specialists for the state-of-the-art project last year wanted to help the charity on its way to its £10.5 million target by supporting the appeal. Eight teams were given £50 each to place bets on the eight races which took place during the day, on the proviso that all winnings would be matched by Munro to further increase the value of the donation.
The tremendous amount of £3000 was subsequently donated today at the new site at Shelford Bottom. The structure is really taking shape and with each donation received the charity moves one step closer to its goal to ultimately care for a greater number of patients and be more accessible across the whole county to those who require the services of the hospice.

The charity has now raised £6.4 million of the £10.5 million needed to complete the project and continues to work hard to raise the remaining £4.1 million.
