This local cafe takes its name from the Australian term ‘to stickybeak,’ which means to have a bit of a nosey.
Owners Catherine Bolton and Lucy Robinson set up the cafe in 2010 and right from the start they knew they wanted the kitchen to be an integral part of everything so that people could have a ‘stickybeak’ at what was going on.
The cafe menu changes through the week, with everything from healthy salads and wholesome hot dishes for lunch, to indulgent cakes and puddings. The girls keep things interesting by bringing new flavours and combinations to the menu, influenced by their various travels.
Along with their cheerful team, they make everything by hand in the on-show kitchen and source key ingredients from trusted local suppliers. Plus they have a licence to serve alcohol with food so you can relax with a glass of wine over lunch.
Sundays at Stickybeaks are a bit different with an all-day brunch with all sorts of tempting options. They also put on a range of supperclubs and you can even hire the cafe for private events and parties.
