Explore Independent Cambridge: Thirstyfest from Thirsty

With the help of Independent Cambridge - the definitive guide to ‘real’ Cambridge - Cambridge Network continues its weekly exploration of the best independent shops, cafés, restaurants, venues and events in Cambridge and the surrounding area. This week: Thirsty Cambridge, which holds it first ever 'Thirstyfest' festival on Saturday 4th June.

Thirsty Cambridge, independent drinks shop and bar -  located on Chesterton Road at Mitcham's Corner - aims to do things a bit differently.  Some might say it's revolutionary, with wine categorised by style rather than country and a packed schedule of social events.

As well as wine, Thirsty has Hot Numbers coffee, ciders and craft beer in bottles and refills. It also features regular visits from some of Cambridge's most popular street food vendors.

Thirsty Cambridge is holding its inaugural festival  - Thirstyfest - on Saturday 4th June (11 am - 9pm), when it will be swinging south of the river to Bodywork Company Dance Studios (25-29 Glisson Road, CB1 2HA),  bringing its special brand of fun, drinks, music, art and street food to the whole of Cambridge.

Taste, learn and drink with 30-40 producers of wine, craft beer, cider and artisan spirits; scoff a wide variety of street food; rock to live music including John Wheeler of Hayseed Dixie; and enjoy art from local artists.
