Skylark Learning collaborates with Anglia Ruskin University

Skylark Learning, the early childhood education company delivering innovative resources to help children learn through meaningful play, is proud to announce a collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University.

Skylark Learning debuted with Skylark English: All About Me, a multi-sensory toolkit providing a fun, interaction-based method for meaningful language learning. Developed in Cambridge with the help of British education and language specialists, the beautifully made resource was created to inspire little learners in a home environment.

Following the success of Skylark English: All About Me, Skylark Learning is now developing a new product about emotional awareness in collaboration with an academic from Anglia Ruskin University.

Anglia Ruskin University, established in Cambridge, England in 1858, is an innovative global university. Counting six high-profile research institutes, Anglia Ruskin University has a growing reputation for its research work, with 12 research areas classed as ‘world-leading’ by the UK Government’s Research Excellence Framework.

Skylark Learning is proud to be working with Dr John Lambie, Reader in Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University’s Faculty of Science & Technology. Dr Lambie is a member of the Child Development, and Emotion and Well-being Research Areas at the university. He has conducted several studies into emotional awareness, validation and regulation in both children and adults, and the effects of parenting styles.

“We’re very excited to be working with Dr Lambie on our latest product,” explains Donna Powell, Product Development Manager at Skylark Learning. “Collaborating with an academic of Dr Lambie’s standing enables us to create a resource that is based on thorough scientific research, methodologically sound and, most importantly, highly effective.”

“Working with a young company is always enjoyable, especially when developing an innovative resource such as this one,” adds Dr Lambie. “Combining my research with Skylark Learning’s methodology allows us to design an exciting and pioneering new product.”

Dr Lambie also commented: “The university is always glad to collaborate with local companies that are making great strides in education. Not only will this new product be a ground-breaking addition to the early learning market, but it will also extend Anglia Ruskin University’s impact in this sector.”

Skylark Learning continues to pave the way in developing innovative educational resources to help young children learn and develop, with their new product due to be published in the summer.
