Arthur Rank Hospice Charity and Huntingdon Gymnastics Club are encouraging their friends and supporters to ‘Pinch, punch and pass on the discount’ this first July weekend as they prepare for Bubble Rush in Huntingdon on Sunday 17 July. It is now just a fortnight until the fabulously frothy 5k takes place and – keen to ensure fun loving families and their friends hear about the opportunity to take part – the charities are offering a 20% discount off the registration fee for just 48 hours.
On Sunday 17 July participants referred to as bubblers, will join the 500 already signed up to run, dance, walk, hop, skip or - for those with pushchairs - wheel around the 5k Bubble Rush route at Riverside Park. The event, which is the first of its kind to visit the region, sees participants make their way through five colourful foam stations, each blowing out 30 cubic metres of coloured and scented bubbles every minute. Tens of thousands of pounds have been raised and scores of brilliant #BubbleRush photos have already been shared in support of hospice care by those who have already taken part in Bubble Rush events across the country.
The event, supplied by Extreme Adventure and sponsored by Cambridge Networks, aims to raise £20,000, which will be shared equally between Huntingdon Gymnastics Club (registered charity 1124674 and Arthur Rank Hospice Charity (registered charity 1133354), who provide essential care and support to nearly 2000 people in the county living with a life-limiting illness. The Hospice’s holistic range of care services includes its Hospice at Home service which provides ‘hands on’ care delivered in a patient’s home between the hours of 10pm and 7am; figures show that since the beginning of 2015 over 26% referrals for the Arthur Rank Hospice at Home service came from the Huntingdon area.

The ‘Pinch, punch, 1st of the month’ 48 hour discount runs from Friday 1 July 1pm until Sunday 3 July 1pm, and takes the price for adults down to £18 (full price £22.50) and for children down to £12 (full price £15).
