Mills & Reeve advises Crowdsurfer on £1.2m further funding round

Leading national law firm Mills & Reeve has advised Crowdsurfer, the data intelligence service for crowd finance, on its further funding round which, since started, now sits at £1.2m.

Crowdsurfer, headquartered in Cambridge, is building the world’s trusted, data intelligence service for the global crowd finance market. Serving fundraisers, investors and those tracking this fast growing industry, Crowdsurfer makes it easier for those seeking to participate in or serve the market with the intelligence they need to be successful.

This funding round was led by Mustard Seed Venture Fund and attracted new and existing angel investors. The funds raised will be used to build more technology targeted towards solving the data challenges at the heart of the crowd finance industry.  It will also be used to support Crowdsurfer’s next dashboard release this summer, which is already placing them as the foremost market intelligence service for all types of crowd finance.

Emily Mackay, CEO at Crowdsurfer, commented: “Our investment round is another important step in building the world's premier data intelligence service for crowd finance. Having expert support from Mills & Reeve's corporate finance team to represent our investment interests is always invaluable.”

The Mills & Reeve team was led by corporate finance principal associate, Dona Ardeman (pictured). Dona commented: “Mills & Reeve were delighted to assist with this key funding round which will enable Crowdsurfer to proceed with its business plan and stay on the cutting edge of the alternative finance market.”
