#C2C4TTT: Cycling to help The Turbo Trust provide independent mobility to others

Axiom-e's Ken Dickson will soon be doing his 2016 Cycle Challenge. As well as enjoying the scenery along Hadrian's Cycleway, Ken will be raising awareness of Dragonmobility's specialised powerchairs while raising funds for local charity The Turbo Trust.

Back in May 2006, Axiom-e's Ken Dickson secured funding from a variety of sources, including a Business Angel, for Dragonmobility Ltd, the Cambridge-based designer and manufacturer of advanced elevating powerchairs, which was then just one year old.

After doing so, Ken was appointed to the Board of Dragonmobility as (part-time) Finance Director.

Ken will be celebrating his 10 years at Dragonmobility by going on another Cycle Challenge. Last year he and his wife Rosemary cycled from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This time they aim to cover, during one weekend before the end of August, the part of Hadrian's Cycleway from Bowness-on-Solway to Tynemouth.

In doing so, Ken hopes to raise awareness of the benefits that Dragonmobility's bespoke elevating powered wheelchairs provide. Their products enable clients to be independently mobile and thus better able to access life in all its fullness, whether that is education, work or general social interaction. This helps to achieve Dragonmobility's desire that you should "See the person, not the chair".

To find out how lives throughout the world are transformed by Dragonmobility's products, please visit 2000 Lives Set In Motion. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available for this Campaign and several well known names have already signed up.

Ken will be raising funds for The Turbo Trust, a local charity which helps to fund powerchairs for people throughout the UK. His target is £1,000 - being 100 (miles) x 10 (years)! All contributions would be very much appreciated by Ken and The Turbo Trust.

 Thank you for your interest.
